#2 Pallets
As described by the National Wood Pallet and Container Association
- Between 6 to 7 boards on top, depending on board width can be 3-1/2” to 5-1/2” wide
- No less than 4 boards on bottom
- Avg. top deck spacing 2-1/2” to 3-1/2” but can be up to 4”
- 3 stringers (1-1/8” to 1-3/4” x 3-1/2”)
- 4 way entry
- Flush
- Has plugs (repairs) on stringers
- No more than three boards (stringers) thick at any one point
- Chips or parƟal split boards are acceptable
A Pallets
As described by the National Wood Pallet and Container Association
- 7 boards on top (mixture of 4”to 6”)
- 5 boards on bottom
- Average top deck spacing 2-1/2” to 3-1/2”
- 7/16” to 3/4” thick decks acceptable
- 3 stringers (1-1/8” to 1-3/4” x 3-1/2”)
- 4 way entry
- Flush
- No block repairs to stringers
- Each stringer can have one repair plate to strengthen any split
AA Pallets

- 7 boards on top
- 5 boards on bottom
- 6” lead boards top and bottom
- Decks are 1/2” to 5/8” thick
- Avg. top deck spacing 2-1/2” to 3-1/2”
- 3 stringers (1-1/8” to 1-3/4” x 3-1/2”)

- No block/staple or metal repairs to stringers
AAA Pallets

- 6” lead boards top and bottom
- Decks are 5/8” to 3/4”
